PURPOSE

To promote a safe working environment for the employees of R. K. Bass Electric, Inc.

PERSONNEL

Includes Project Manager, Foreman, Supervisor, Safety Manager, Human Resources Manager, Project Coordinator and all site and office Employees. This is to also include the subcontractors of R.K. Bass Electric, Inc.

TRAINING

1. Require Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - All employees are required to wear a hardhat and boots, and have an electrical circuit tester and safety glasses on them at all times. All employees must have a set of gloves available when necessary. This is required of all R.K. Bass Electric, Inc.'s employees and they have signed and agreed to this.

2. Weekly Safety Meetings - Each week the Safety Manager distributes the topic and the training material to the Foremen and the Supervisors. Topics will include, but not be limited to ladder safety, moving equipment, First Aid, MSDS, electrical safety, heavy lifting, hand tools, personal protective equipment, temporary power, lock out tag out, vehicle safety, and confined space procedures. Documentation of the Safety Meetings will be kept in the Safety Manager's office.

3. Special Safety Sessions (as needed)- This includes any type of training that involves an outside Safety Consultant.

4. Onsite Safety Equipment - This includes any safety equipment purchased for the use of the project. For example a Lock Out Tag Out Kit and First Aid specifically purchased for this project.

5. Site cleanliness - We will keep our material and tools in a clean and orderly fashion so that they will not become a hindrance to the construction of the building or to other contractors. We would expect the same from other contractors.

This program is designed for all R.K. Bass Electric, Inc.'s projects.

APPROACH TO SAFETY

R. K. Bass Electric, Inc. will strive to abide by OSHA regulations while working on any construction project. Our goal is to finish the project without incurring any injuries to our employees or those of another contractor. We will accomplish this goal by conducting the following procedures.

ENFORCEMENT and RESPONSIBILITY

All safety polices and procedures are enforceable by the site Foreman. The Supervisor and Project Manager are responsible for keeping the site Foreman accountable to the safety policies. The Safety Manager and executive management oversees the implementation and training of all company safety polices and procedures. In the event that an employee chooses to disobey any policy or procedure, then that employee will be subject to the penalties described in the policy. For any questions to the policy book an employee of R.K. Bass Electric, Inc. may speak with the Human Resource Manager at any time.

SUGGESTIONS

Some of the best Safety suggestions come from our employees. R.K Bass Electric, Inc. has a suggestion box so that an employee can place a comment in the box anonymously without fear of upper management knowing who placed the comment in the box.
